Clive Landale founded 90 West Asset Management Ltd in July 2008. Clive has built an enviable track record in managing the 90 West Global Basic Materials Fund. Apart from the outstanding absolute performance of the Fund since inception, Clive’s proven investment process combined with prudent risk management has resulted in consistent, long-term investment returns for the Fund investors. In July 2011 the business was recapitalised following which David Whitten joined as equal partner and shareholder.

Clive started his career as a Futures Dealer then Floor Operator before joining the Institutional Sales Desk.  He moved on to become a partner in a mid-sized broking house before joining Merrill Lynch as a Specialist Research Sales Executive for resource stocks both in Australia and Asia.  Clive later went on to become Head of Merrill Lynch’s Melbourne Institutional desk which included Asian Sales of Australian products.

Clive brings to this team over 25 years experience in the financial markets, extending into basic materials stocks, futures and commodities.  During this period he has also built up an extensive network of contacts from large to small resource companies whilst working on numerous resource corporate transactions both in Australia and Asia.  Having travelled extensively, Clive has visited many sites and companies globally and attended a variety of different resource conferences.

This nurtured combination of experience and contacts is an invaluable asset to the fund and will result in the continued growth and success of 90 West in the future.
